The English National Surfing Championships have changed it’s sponsors for its 35th anniversary with a huge new deal. Which caused a few problems as I didn’t see the sponsorship changing and I was all geared up with the old sposors, ouch
Headworx is sponsoring this year’s event, which could be its biggest to date with an estimated 300 competitors fighting it out, in over 24 divisions. A HUGE logistics and administrative job for the ESF, but come on, they have hosted so well over the years, it shouldn’t be a problem ☺
The competition, being held at Watergate Bay, in Newquay, Cornwall, which runs between May 5 -7, include all age groups and surfing abilities.
The competition allows for the new up and coming surfers to taste the cut and thrust of a huge competition but at the same time sharpen their technique, but for others it is an essential part of their surfing diary. For many the title of being the English champion is the springboard to what could net that next sponsorship deal?
So now we have to try to go that one step upwards and provide LIVE video streaming of the event, not an easy thing to do, but we are working franticly on it, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
