Well to tell you the truth apart from the actual Heat and Competition winners, everyone was a winner. The whole competition was a resounding success and a credit to Puerto Rico and the ISA.

The last day saw a huge swell hit, and the waves were in my opinion “The size of houses coming at you with the speed of an express train” Not the sort of conditions for the faint hearted.
The ISA laid on Jet Skis to transport the comeptitors out which was a good thing, it would have taken them half their heat to get out back.
When the sets hit, it was awesome, the waves just loomed up out of the Ocean and powered towards the beach, and they often caught the on lookers by surprise, many a towel and many a camera got ruined that day I can tell you.

The heat winners were

Juan Ashton from Puerto Rico triumphed in the Masters
Magoo de la Rosa from Peru clinched the Grand Masters
Chris Knutsen from South Africa won the Kahunas

The overall team points gave South Africa first place. Congrats to them and all their hard work and for the entertainment they provided us with.

Well I have a few photos here from the final day, and this blog will continue with updates as I manage to troll through the hundreds upon hundreds of photos I have from the event and the free surfing during the build up.

Juan Ashton World Masters Champion 2007 celebrates his victory on the way back in
