Competition Day 2
the day started bright and sunny at Domes, he location of the World Masters Championship. with all our lads through from the previous day we looked set to continue the splendid form they had shown yesterday. But alas this was not to be their day. It started fine with Lee Bartlett clinching second in his heat, but that was where it ended.
Grishka. Jed, Roger, Daz and Gary all got knocked out. This is the World Masters and the quality of the surfing really shows how good they all are. Now I may be a bit biased, but I did not think they would go out. Anyway they are not COMPLETELY out. They drop into the Reportage heats which can lead them back into the Masters Finals. It makes it a bit tougher for them, but I know they can do it.
The surf today was all over the place, and this is the way with Surfing, you can be the best n the world, but if the waves aren’t there, you cant catch them.
The competition finished a bit earlier today, thankfully! So we have managed to catch up on some rest. I managed to have only my SECOND swim in the sea since getting here.
As of now, each day, along side this daily update I will be showing the photos from each day. These can be viewed by visiting www.focusworx.com so take a trip there and enjoy the photos, which incidentally the ISA wanted to use for free?
Anyone interested in buying them will see how they can do this on the site.
So on the whole a pretty glum day, but the Lads are in fine form! They are still in it and raring to go.
So keep watching readers and lets hear it for them!
Hope the weather is better back home? We don’t want to come back to wind and rain after spending all this time in the hot sunshine

Down but not out as the saying goes. Well done to Lee keep flying the flag for us. As you said Kevin we are still in with a chance. The good thing with us Brits is we never give in.

goes. Of course you and we are dosappointed for you all, but you have got
another go, so get on those boards and surf your big hearts out. We and you
hundreds of fans back home in the freezing cold are all supporting you. Well
done to Lee, good luck in your next heat, the Jolly Jack is still flying at the
top of the mast.

Good day chaps1just a bad day yesterday-neptune wasn’t on your side! But today im sure will be better! as ol’ winston said ( my dad told me!)’ we will fight them on the beaches’-not literally though eh? So good luck to you all-pull all the stops out as always and thats why youre there! THE BEST! Its freezing here ice and frost on the ground and expecting it to get colder! hurry up and get home Roge my hot water bottles perished!!! love and luck to you all!
